Creating and opening Xstudio projects and assets
Creating new projects and assets
When you launch Xstudio (S TART >P ROGRAMS >V ERTIGO X MEDIA >X STUDIO ), the C REATE N EW
dialog box automatically appears (if Xstudio’s S HOW N EW D IALOG ON S TARTUP setting is
enabled). The C REATE N EW dialog box is an entry point to creating new projects and assets
(definitions for the individual items listed on each tab are provided on page 3-2 ).

The C REATE N EW dialog box can also be opened by selecting the F ILE >N EW menu command
or the keyboard shortcut: C TRL +N.
To create a new project or asset in Xstudio:
1.
Open the C REATE N EW dialog box.
2. Select the type of project or asset that you want to create and click OK.
An empty canvas appears (figure
4-2 ). Before you begin to author, we recommend that
you set the canvas’ properties, especially the scene canvas’ SceneFormat property.
