Adding logic to control objects
Animation command
Adding this action to an event allows you to control the playout of a scene animation.
Animations change the properties of objects in a scene over time to create a visual effect.
See
“Creating scene animations” on page 7-22
for more information.
Set the following Action Parameters:
Type
This parameter determines what type of operation will be executed on the
animation.
Select one of the following from the drop-down list:
• Play: Plays the animation when the event condition is executed.
• Stop: Stops the animation when the event condition is executed.
• Continue: When the event condition is executed, the animation
continues to play from where it was last stopped.
• Rewind: When the event condition is executed, the animation is
rewinded to the beginning.
• End Loop: When the event condition is executed, the animation’s
loop playout is cancelled.
Animation
This parameter identifies the name of the animation being controlled. Note
that before you can set this parameter, the animation must already have
been added to the scene (see
“Creating scene animations” on page 7-22
).
To set this parameter:
1.
Select the parameter’s field and click the
button to open the
Expression Builder.

Select the A
NIMATION
category in the left panel of the
E
XPRESSION
B
UILDER
. A list of the scene’s animation now
appears in the right panel of the Expression Builder.
3.
Double-click the desired animation’s name in the right panel.
The animation is added to the upper text box surrounded by
quotation marks (i.e. “Default In”).
4.
Click OK and the Animation parameter is set.
