Appendix G - External Controls
Settings tab
Use the Settings tab to configure your external control device to function with Xstudio.
To configure the external control device:
1.
From the T OOLS menu select E XTERNAL C ONTROL . This displays the E XTERNAL
C ONTROL M APPING M ANAGER dialog box (see figure 19-4 ).
2. On the S ETTINGS tab, enter the COM Port information for the computer to which you will
be connecting the external control device. The fields under S ERIAL 1 are used for
setting up Serial or TCP/IP external control systems, whereas the fields under S ERIAL
2 are for configuring GPI control system settings.

3. If setting up a GPI control system, select one of the common GPI prefixes from the GPI
P
REFIX drop-down list.
4. Click the OK button.
