Switching between Proxy and Detail view in the Gallery Browser
You can choose to display assets in the Gallery Browser in two formats: as proxies
(thumbnails) or as detailed asset information.
The following sections describe each format:

Proxy View
Displaying assets in Proxy view (figure 14-2 ) provides that advantage of previewing an
image of the asset for identification purposes. This can be helpful for quickly retrieving an
asset by simply recognizing the look of the asset.

Not all assets can be viewed in proxy mode. Since proxy view displays the assets using
thumbnail images to preview the asset, the asset must have an image or visual component
associated to it. Some assets, like playlists or audio, don’t have any helpful visual elements
to it and therefore cannot be displayed in proxy mode. The following table lists the asset
types can and those that cannot be viewed in proxy view:
