Appendix F - Script Editor
Saving scripts
When saving you have the option of providing the following additional metadata
(information about the asset):
•
the name of the person who authored the file
•
a short description of the file
•
keywords
•
links to categories
To save a newly-created script:
1.
From the F
ILE
menu select S
AVE
. This displays the S
AVE
S
CRIPT
dialog box.

If desired, enter a new name for the asset in the N
AME
field.
3.
If desired, enter your name in the A
UTHOR
field.
4.
If desired, enter a short description for the file in the D
ESCRIPTION
field.
5.
If desired, link the file to one or more categories by selecting check boxes in the
C
ATEGORIES
box. To create a new category, right-click in the C
ATEGORIES
box and
select A
DD
C
ATEGORY
from the pop-up menu.
6.
If desired, assign the script one or more keywords by selecting check boxes in the
K
EYWORDS
box. (Keywords are used by Xstudio’s Search Tool for searching and
retrieving assets.) To create a new keyword, right-click in the K
EYWORDS
box and select
A
DD
K
EYWORD
from the pop-up menu.
7.
Click the OK button to save the file and exit the dialog box.
Or,
Click the C
ANCEL
button to discard all entered information and return to the unsaved file.
