Appendix B - Gallery Browser
To delete a category’s tab from the Gallery Browser:
1.
Right-click on the tab.
A context menu appears.
2.
Select the R
EMOVE
command from the context menu.
The category’s tab and its contents are immediately removed from the Gallery Browser.

OTE
Although you can remove categories from the Gallery Browser, there must always remain
at least one category tab in the Gallery Browser.
Refreshing the Gallery Browser
If you are using Xstudio on a network, you might be working while other users are making
changes or additions to the assets available on the MediaServer. To ensure that what you
are viewing in the Gallery Browser is as up-to-date as possible, we encourage you to
refresh the Gallery Browser periodically.
To refresh the Gallery Browser:
1.
Right-click on one of the Gallery Browser’s tabs.
A context menu appears.
2.
Select the R
EFRESH
command from the context menu.
The Gallery Browser quickly ensures that all assets are updated.
Opening and editing assets using the Gallery Browser
You can use the Gallery Browser to open assets so that they can be edited. Assets that
were created in Xstudio can be edited within the application. Those that were created in a
third-party product must be edited outside Xstudio and then re-ingested (see
).
The following table provides a list of the assets that can be edited using Xstudio, and which
require a third-party application.

Opening and editing assets can also be done from within the Asset Browser using the same
procedure.
