Animation Tree’s Context menu
When you right-click on the animations, objects, or, properties listed in the Animation Tree, a
context menu appears providing you with immediate access to commands related to tasks that
can be performed with the Animation Tree.
The following table provides a functional description of each command on the Animation Tree’s
context menu:
Preview
The Preview command is only available if the context menu was opened by
right-clicking an animation in the Animation Tree.
When Xstudio is in Preview Mode, this command allows you to start the
playout of the scene animation on the output device.
An alternative access to this command is the Start button in the Animation
Editor’s Preview Controls. See
“Previewing and scrubbing the animation” on
for more information about previewing animations.
Rename
The Rename command is only available if the context menu was opened by
right-clicking a manual animation in the Animation Tree.
When a manual animation is added to the Animation Tree, it is given a generic
name like, Animation3. This command allows you to rename a manual
animation. See
“Renaming animations” on page 7-35
for more information
about renaming manual animations.
Delete
Deletes items selected in the Animation Tree (manual animation, object,
property, keyer, or command channel).
Note that you can delete the contents of the Default In/Out and Page In/Out
animations, but you cannot delete, or remove, these animations from the
Animation Tree. See
“Deleting channels from the Animation Tree” on page
Select All Keyframes
This command allows you to quickly select all of the keyframes that belong to
the property, keyer, or command channel that is selected in the Animation
Tree. Keyframes turn yellow when they are selected. Select all keyframes is
useful if you want to copy all the keyframes to another channel or delete all
your keyframes from a channel.
This command is not available for animation and object channels.
Cut
The Cut command allows you to remove the selected item from its current
location in the Animation Tree and stores it on the system’s clipboard until it
is pasted into a new location using the P
ASTE
command.
Note that the only the contents of the Default In/Out and Page In/Out
animations can be cut, not the animations themselves.
