Linking objects to a data source
Creating schemas
To create a schema:
1.
Click the C REATE S CHEMA icon . This displays the S CHEMA S ETTINGS dialog box
with the B UILDER tab active.

The XML tab is for modifying code generated from your data source configuration. You can
use this tab, or make your changes on the B
UILDER tab.
2. In the S CHEMA N AME field enter the name you would like to assign to the schema.
N OTE
At any time during the data source creation process you can click the C LEAR button to enter all
new information in the fields, or the C ANCEL button to cancel the creation process altogether.
3. Under D ATA S OURCES , click the A DD button.
This enables the fields under I NDIVIDUAL D ATA S OURCE S ETTINGS .
4. In the D ATA S OURCE N AME field, enter a name for the individual data source being
created in the schema. Bear in mind that data source names cannot be modified once
created.
5. Select the data source type: D ATABASE , E XCEL S PREADSHEET , D ELIMITED T EXT F ILE ,
RSS, OR S OCIAL M EDIA . Depending on your choice, different fields will display below.
