Setting up an animation action
You can then use the Action Editor to call a specific animation based on a playout event.
If you chose in step 4 to create a manual animation, you must use the Action Editor to create
an A
NIMATION
action to start the animation when a specific event is encountered.
To set up an Animation action:
1.
Click the P
ANEL
or T
EMPLATE
tab (depending on whether you’re working on a control
panel or template). If you had the Animation Editor displayed, it automatically switches
to the Action Editor.
2.
Create a object on the control-side canvas, like a button by dragging a button primitive
onto the canvas.
3.
With the new object selected, choose the trigger event in the Action Editor. In the
example below, the On Click event is being used.
4.
From the Action drop-down list select Animation.
5.
Under Action Parameters select Play from the Type drop-down list and then enter the
animation name in the Animation field.
6.
Publish the scene, switch to Production mode, and use the control object to play the
animation.
