Choosing a type of animation
When animating a scene, you have a choice from five types of animations: Default In,
Default Out, Page In, Page Out and manual animations (figure
and Manual animations” on page 7-10
for description of each of these animations.

If you want to create a Default In/Out or a Page In/Out animation, continue to step 5
(
“Adding the object’s animated properties to your animation”
). However, if you want to
create a manual animation, you must first add a new animation to the Animation Tree.
To open and add a new manual animation to the Animation Editor’s Animation Tree:

Click the N

button
in the Animation Editor toolbar.
A generically named animation (i.e. animation3) is added to the Animation Tree.

At this point, you may consider performing some tasks associated with managing the
Animation Tree, like renaming the manual animation, changing the order of the animation
listing...etc. See
