In the R

field, enter the time interval in seconds that will separate data refreshes.
Or, select the N

check box. This deactivates the R
EFRESH
R

field.
9.
In the G
ARBAGE
C
OLLECT
field, specify the time interval at which the system will purge
outdated instances of data variables.
10. In the M
AX
R
OWS
field, enter the maximum number of rows to be returned by the query.
This will ensure that the system’s performance will not be hampered by the retrieval of
unnecessarily large tables. If you would prefer that there be no limit on the number of
rows returned by the query, enter 0.
11. The value of the S
TALE
I
NTERVAL
field represents the frequency at which the system
checks to see if the data has been updated. If the data has not been updated with the
specified time, a warning is sent to the Xstudio log file. Note that the Stale Interval value
must either be left blank (default) or be a value greater than the Refresh Rate value.
12. Click OK.
This closes the S

The P
ERCENT
D
ECIMAL
P
LACES
property indicates how to round percent
values.
Select one of the following options from the drop-down list: 0, 1, 2, or 3.
The percent value for a choice is calculated by dividing the number of votes
for the choice by the total number of votes and then rounding the result. If
no votes have been cast for any choice, the percent value is set to 0. If one
or more decimal places are selected, percent values are padded with zeros,
if necessary, so that all percent values show the same number of decimal
places.

Provides the list of all possible choice names in the poll. This property is
present because, in the case of Telescope polls, the results returned by the
provider do not contain entries for choices that have zero votes. The names
in this list are used to provide the missing entries. The names provided must
match exactly the choice titles (as opposed to hash tags or keywords used
to vote for the choice) entered in the poll definition on the provider’s web
page. It is important that the case of the choice names entered match those
in the poll definition. However, the order of the choice names is not
important.
This property is only available when a static poll identifier is used. If a
dynamic poll identifier is used, the P
OLL
C
HOICES
are disabled, because the
poll referred to by the ticker or snapshot is unknown until the dynamic poll
identifier is specified in a template.
Note: It is possible to take steps to ensure that the poll results returned by
Telescope will always contain an entry for every choice (consult Telescope
for details). If these steps are taken, the choice names list can be left blank
and a dynamic poll identifier can be used.
