Linking objects to a data source
To use key data in a control panel:
1.
Open a new control panel or control panel + scene.
2.
On the P
ANEL
tab, create one text box into which key data will be added, and another
text box for every selected return column.
3.
Holding down the CTRL key, drag the first text box into the K
EY
field in the D
ATA
M
ANAGER
. This designates the text box as the one that will provide the data.

4.
Test what you have so far by switching to P
RODUCTION
mode and entering data in the
first field (the one set up as the data provider). The corresponding data appears in the
other fields.
5.
If desired, complete the exercise by creating Text 2D objects on the S
CENE
tab, and
then connect them to the text boxes displaying returned data on the P
ANEL
tab (see
for instructions).
Drag this field
into the field
under Keys while
holding down the
CTRL key.
