Appendix A - Asset Browser
Description
Displays a textual description of the asset.

You can edit this field by clicking in the text box and typing the desired
description.
•
It is recommended that you provide a concise description for each
asset that identifies its content or use, so that it is easily recognizable
and distinguish from similar assets.
Created Time
Displays the date and time of when the asset was originally created.
This is a read-only field that cannot be changed.
Modified Time
Displays the time of the asset’s most recent modification.
This is a read-only field that cannot be changed.
Expiry Date
Displays the calendar date when the asset will be deleted from the
XmediaServer.
You can edit this field by clicking in the field’s text box, which activates a
button on the right side of the field. Click the button to display a calendar
from which you can select the desired date, or select the N
ONE
button at the
bottom of the calendar to set no expiration date.
Publish Lifespan
Displays the specific number of days before the asset is deleted from the
XmediaServer.
You can edit this field by clicking in the text box and typing a number
corresponding to the number of days the asset will be stored it is deleted
from the XmediaServer.
Categories
Displays the category, or categories, where the asset is accessible from in
the Asset Browser.
This is a read-only field. However, if you would like to move, add, or remove
the asset to/from a category, you can do so from within the Asset Browser
(see
“Moving or copying assets to different categories” on page 13-10
and
“Removing assets from categories” on page 13-11
Keywords
Displays the keyword(s) that have been assigned to the asset when it was
created and saved. Keywords are used as a searchable property by the
Xstudio Search Tool to help you locate assets within the system.
