Animating scene objects

The V

ISIBLE

animated property controls whether or not the object is visible in the scene.

Setting the Visible property’s T

RANSITION

parameters (figure

) allows you to control how

an object transitions into or out of an animation, or from one object asset to another. For
example, you can create an animation where the object appears instantaneously using the
C

transition and then have the same object disappear gradually from the animation using

the F

ADE

transition. Or, you create an object animation where one object asset replaces

another asset object using a stylish transition like revealing one as the other fades away.

To have an object appear (or transition) in an animation:
1.

Add the V

ISIBLE

property channel to the object animation.

2.

Select the Keyframe Editor’s V

ISIBLE

check box.

3.

Select a transition style from the Keyframe Editor’s T

RANSITION

field’s drop-down list

(see the table below for a listing and descriptions of the available Transition styles).

4.

Expose and set the T

RANSITION

parameters by selecting the second drop-down list

arrow next to the Keyframe Editor’s T

RANSITION

To have an object exit (or transition) from an animation:
1.

Add the V

ISIBLE

property channel to the object animation.

2.

Clear the Keyframe Editor’s V

check box.

3.

Select a transition style from the Keyframe Editor’s T
