Appendix F - Script Editor
To perform a search and replace in the script:
1.
Click the R
EPLACE
button
in the Script Editor window. This displays the F
IND
&
R
EPLACE
dialog box.

Enter the item to find in the F
IND
field, and the item to replace it in the R
EPLACE
field.

The search customizations are the same here as they are for the F
IND
dialog box. The
only new specification is the P
RESERVE
CASE
check box, which ensures that the casing
of the item being replaced is preserved. For example, if the word width is being
replaced by H
EIGHT
and you have selected this check box, the replacement will appear
as
HEIGHT
.
4.
Select the S
ELECTION
radio button to search and replace only within the selected
portion of the script, or the E
NTIRE
BUFFER
button to search the entire script file.
5.
Click the F
IND
N
EXT
button to locate the next match.
Or,
Click the R
EPLACE
button to replace the currently selected match or the R
EPLACE
A
LL
button to replace all matches at once.
Or,
Click the C
LOSE
button.
Adding comments to scripts
To add a comment to the script:
• Select a block and click the C
OMMENT
button
in the Script Editor window.
Anything typed into the line will appear as a comment.
Or,
• Place your cursor in an existing line and click the C
OMMENT
button
to
make the line a comment.
To change commented text to script text:
• Select a block and click the U
NCOMMENT
button
in the Script Editor window.
