Adding logic to control objects
The following table provides a functional description of each component of the Action Table:
Events
The E
VENTS
panel lists all the default events for the selected object. When
an action has been added to an event, the event’s name appears in bold in
the Events panel.

You can add custom events to this list using the E
VENTS
drop-down list
and the A
DD
E
VENTS
button (see
“Creating custom actions” on page
•
You can change the name and/or edit a custom event by right-clicking
on the event’s name and selecting the appropriate command from the
context menu.
Condition
Displays the condition that was set for the action using the Expression
Builder.

Clicking the
button opens the Expression Builder, which provides a
list of common building blocks that you can use to set a condition for
the action associated to that row in the Action Table. See
Expression Builder” on page 10-15
for more details.
Action
Displays the actions assigned to the event selected in the Events List.

You can replace or add an action to the Action List by selecting an
action name from the drop-down list that becomes available when you
click the row where you want the action.
Comment
Displays and allows you to enter comments that provide a description of the
purpose and/or result of the action.
Action Parameters
Displays and allows you to set the parameters for the action that is currently
selected in the Actions List. See
“Default actions and action parameters” on
for a list of the available actions and their parameters.

When certain parameter fields are selected, the button appears to
the right of the field. Clicking this button opens either the E

you can use to help you define or set certain action parameters. See
