Working with control objects
Text objects on the control canvas
Adding a Text primitive
to the control-side canvas allows you to display a text string,
which is useful for labelling other objects on the template/control panel, or for providing
instructions to the operator.
When a Text object is selected on the canvas, the Properties Browser displays the following
properties:
Category
Text object properties
The following properties determine the identity, content and control of the text
object:
“Control object properties” on page 15-2
for a
description of each of these properties.
You can type the desired text into the Text property, or you can double-click the
text object on the canvas and type the content directly into the object.
Position
The following properties allow you to set the coordinates (location) and
dimensions (size) of the text object:
,
“Control object properties” on page 15-2
for a
description of each of these properties.
You can also set the text object’s location and size settings by dragging the text
object and/or its boundaries directly on the canvas (see
). The text object’s properties are automatically updated in the Properties
Browser when this method is used.
The text object provides
instructions to the operator.
