Detail View
Displaying assets in Detail view (figure
) provides that advantage of being able to see
some of the asset’s property information in the listing (i.e. name, description, modified
timestamp, and file size). Displaying assets in detail view can be helpful for quickly
identifying and retrieving an asset.
Figure 14-3. Image asset category displayed in detail view
Unlike proxy view, assets of any type can be displayed in the Gallery Browser’s detail view.
In fact, as the table on

Gallery Browser using the detail view because they do not have an image to use in proxy
view.
Switching between Proxy and Detail views

identify the asset category. The view setting (proxy/detail) for each asset category is
independently set. In other words, some of the tabs can be set to display its assets in proxy

To switch between Proxy and Detail view:
1.
In the Gallery Browser, right-click on category tab.
A context menu appears.
2.
Select the P

command from the context menu.
The Gallery Browser automatically changes to the new view format.
If you were not able to select a command from the context menu because it was
disabled, it probably means that the asset category’s view is already set in the only
view setting (detail) that is compatible with that asset type (see the table on page
