Animating scene objects
Using the Keyframe Editor to specify a keyframe setting:
1.
Select the keyframe on the property channel.
The keyframe turns yellow indicating that it is selected and the keyframe’s current
settings are displayed in the Keyframe Editor’s fields.
2.
Optional: assign a name to the keyframe if the keyframe will be accessed using a

action.
To name the keyframe, type the name in the K
EYFRAME
N
AME
field located in the
Keyframe Editor and press E
NTER
.
3.
Optional: change the location of the keyframe on the property channel.
The location of the keyframe on the timeline is displayed either as a frame number or
a time, depending on the Keyframe Editor’s setting (see
). If you want to change the keyframe’s location on the timeline, you can type the
frame number or time directly in this field and press E
NTER
, or drag the keyframe along
the property channel.
4.
Set the keyframe values:
• Use the C
APTURE
check box to set the property’s value from a specific point in time
for more information).
Or,
• Depending on the property, either type the value directly in the text box (if you know
the exact value desired), or select/clear the field’s check box (see
Property Value field and Current Value button” on page 7-6
for more information).
Or,
• Use the C
APTURE
button
to set keyframe values from the scene (see
“Keyframe’s Property Value field and Current Value button” on page 7-6
for more
information).
5.
Set the I
NTERPOLATION
field, which determines how the animation will transition from
one keyframe to the next.
Select from the I
NTERPOLATION
drop-down list: C

Optional: Set the L

parameters.
Enabling and setting the Loop parameters allows you to repeat the property’s behavior
that led up to the key frame starting at a particular point and for as many times as
specified (see
