Cel animation properties

A cel animation is a sequence of images shown in rapid succession to form an animation.
Each image in the cel animation is a known as a frame, and each has a frame number
indicating its position in the sequence, starting with frame 1.

A cel animation starts playing when its V

ISIBLE

property is selected in the Keyframe Editor.

Note however, that the cel animation also has a V

ISIBLE

property in the scene that is

accessible from the Property Browser. Be sure to set the V

ISIBLE

property in the Property

Browser to F

ALSE

, otherwise it will start playing immediately upon entering Production mode.

The following table identifies the additional properties that determine how the cel animation
will play. However, these properties need to be set before playing the cel animation. Once
the cel animation is playing, changing these properties will have unpredictable effects.
(Generally, these properties are set up in the frame preceding the frame on which the cel
animation's Visible property is switched on.)
