PROPERTIES
Each object that is added to the canvas (scene or control side) is associated with a set of
properties, which determines that object’s appearance and behavior. The P
ROPERTIES

ROWSER
is an Xstudio tool that lists the current property settings for the object that is
selected on the canvas, or for the canvas itself. This chapter describes how editing the
properties allows you to change the appearance and behavior of the objects and/or canvas.
Since the properties are specific to the type of object that is currently selected, the
Properties Browser lists only those properties that are relevant to that object type. For this
reason, this chapter describes the
Similarly, when the canvas is selected, the properties that are listed in the Properties
Browser depend upon whether the control-side (template or panel) canvas or the scene-
side canvas is selected.

OTE
If an object has both a control side and scene side, you can only access the properties for one
side at a time. For example, a bug object might have an image (i.e. logo) on the scene and
buttons on the control-side to control the bug on air. When you select the image on the scene-
side, the Properties Browser will only display the properties belonging to the image object.
Similarly, selecting a button on the control-side only displays the properties of the button.
