Appendix B - Gallery Browser
As figure
demonstrates, not only do Image assets have their own additional property
fields, but they are also the only asset type to have access to the A
DVANCED
button. When
clicked, the Advanced button opens an Image Properties window for the asset that allows you
to document further details about the contents, characteristics, and history of the image asset.

To view and/or modify a saved asset’s properties:
1.
In the Gallery Browser, right-click on the desired asset.
A context menu appears.
2.
Select P
ROPERTIES
from the context menu.
The P
ROPERTIES
dialog box appears and displays a list of the asset’s properties.
3.
Edit the appropriate property fields.
4.
When done, click the S
AVE
button to register modifications, or C
ANCEL
to close the
dialog box without saving changes.
Publish Lifespan
Displays the specific number of days before the asset is deleted from the
XmediaServer.
You can edit this field by clicking in the text box and typing a number
corresponding to the number of days the asset will be stored it is deleted
from the XmediaServer.
Categories
Displays the category, or categories, where the asset is accessible from in
the Asset Browser.
This is a read-only field. However, if you would like to move, add, or remove
the asset to/from a category, you can do so from within the Asset Browser.
Keywords
Displays the keyword(s) that have been assigned to the asset when it was
created and saved. Keywords are used as a searchable property by the
Xstudio Search Tool to help you locate assets within the system.
