AAA TACACS Policy - New Authentication Server
NOTE
Only 2 AAA TACACS Authentication servers can be configured at a time.
8. Define the following settings to add or modify AAA TACACS authentication server configuration:
9. Click OK to close the Authentication Server dialog and save the changes. Click Reset to revert
to the last saved configuration. Click Exit to close the Authentication Server dialog.
10. Click the Accounting tab. The following screen displays:
Server Id
Displays the numerical server index (1-2) for the authentication server when added to the list
available to the access point.
Host
Specify the IP address or hostname of the AAA TACACS authentication server.
Port
Define or edit the port on which the AAA TACACS server listens to traffic within the access point
managed network. The port range is 1 - 65,535. The default port is 49.
Secret
Specify the secret (password) used for authentication on the selected AAA TACACS server. By
default the secret is displayed as asterisks.
When a secret is entered, it must be confirmed in the Reconfirm text box.
Request Attempts
Displays the number of attempts a client can retransmit a missed frame to the AAA TACACS server
before it times out of the authentication session. The available range is from 1 - 10. The default is 3.
Request Timeout
Specify the time for the access point’s re-transmission of request packets. The default is 3 seconds.
If this time is exceeded, the authentication session is terminated.
Retry Timeout Factor
Specifies the interval, in seconds, between two successive re-transmission attempts. Specify a
value from 50 - 200 seconds. The default is 100 seconds.
