Step 10b: Assign Sections to Splits on Planter
Press the touchpad and choose the Planter Side where you wish to assign sections. Then press the
numeric keypad to enter the number of sections.
Press Next to continue.
11. Add Additional Application Equipment (optional)
a. If you plan to use additional application equipment for a secondary operation (such as a liquid starter
control), press the Add button and use the Equipment Configuration Wizard to add equipment.
b. Press Next to continue.
12. Select Ground Speed Source
a. Select a Primary and Backup Ground Speed Source, (such as GPS, Wheels, Track or Radar).
b. Press Next to continue.
13. Enter Suggested Name for Configuration
a. A suggested configuration name appears. If necessary, edit this name by pressing the keyboard button and
entering a new name with the on-screen keypad.
b. Press Finish when complete.

The KINZE Planter Monitor Setup button, located on
the Implement Tab, allows the operator to adjust
configuration settings for the Planter, Sensor and
Alarms. When this button is pressed, the Seed Monitor
Setup window appears, as shown.
• Planter Configuration button
Opens the Planter Configuration window. For more information, see
“KINZE Planter Configuration” on
• Sensor Configuration button
Shows the Sensor Configuration window. For more information, see
“KINZE Planter Sensor Configuration”
• Alarms button
Pulls up the Seed Monitor Alarms window, where the operator can set a threshold for the alarm at 10%,
50%, or 70% or a user-specified percentage; or disable the alarm entirely. For more information, see
“KINZE Seed Monitor Alarms” on page
