Securing a Child Restraint in a
Center Rear Seat Position
If you have a extended cab or crew cab pickup, you can
secure a child restraint in 1he center rear seat [Msilion.
Crew Cab
When you secura a child reslraini in the center rear
seal poailion of a crew cab, you'll be usir>g a
jap'shouldsr belt that works |he same way ae the safety
belts irt ihe rear outside seal positions. For instructions
on how to secure a child restraint using a lap’ShouEder

Extended Cab
There is limited space in the rear sealing area of an
extended cab model. It you want tc secure a child
restraint in a rear seat position of an extended cab
model, especially in the rear center seal posilion,
be sure to study the inslructlons that came with youf
child restraint lo see if Ihe re la enough room to secure
your seal proparly.
When you secure a child restraint tn the comer rear
seal position of an extended cab, you'll be using the lap
belt. Be sure to follow the instructions that came with
the child restraint. Secure the child in the child restraint
when and as !he instrucUons say. See Top Strap on
page if the child restraint has one.
