Driving on frozen Iskes. ponds or rivers can be
dangerous. Underwater springs, currents
under the ice, or sudden thaws can weaken the
ice. Vour vehicle could fail through ths ice and
you and your passengers couid drown. Drive
your vehicle on safe surfaces only*
Driving through rushing wafer can be
dangerous. Deep water cart sweep your vehicle

tires, and you could lose fraction and roll the
vehicle over. Don't drive through rushing water.
Oriving in Water
Heavy rain can mean flash flooding, and flood waters

Find out how deep ihe waier is before yeu drive ihrough
i|. If Ifs deep enough to cover your wheel hubs, ак1еЕ
or exhaust pipe, don't try it — you probabty won't

speeds, water splashes on your ignition system and your

After Off-Road Driving
Remove any brush dr debris lhal has ooilacted on Ihe
undeibody, chassis or under Ihe hood. These
accomulalions can be a fire hazard.
Atter operation m mud or sand, have ihe brake linings
cleaned and checked. These substar^ces can cause
glazing and uneven braking, Check Ihe body structure,
steering, suspension, wheals, tires and exhaust
system (or damage. Also, check the fuel lines and
cooling system for any leakage.
Your vehicle will require more frequem service due to
□ff-road use. Refer to the Maintenance Schedule
for additional information.
