Voltmeter Gage
When ytjur engine is гю1 funning, but the ignilion is m
RUN

Wits gage shows your battery's stale of charge In
DC volts.
When the artgirte is running, tha gage shows the
cer^dition of the charging system. Readings between the
low and high warning zones indicate ihe noifnal
operaling range.
Readings in Ihe low warning zone may occur when a
large rujmbef of electrical accessories are operating In
the vehicle and the engine is left at an rdle for an
eKtended period. This condition fs noTmai since the
charging system is not able to provide
full
power
at engine idle. As engina speeds are iricreased, this
condition should correct itself as higher engine speeds
allow Ihe charging systam to create maximum power.
Vou can only drive for a short lime with (he raadirig In
either warning zone.
If
you
must
drive, turn off
all
unnecessary accessories.
Readings in either warning zone irtdicate a possible
problem in the electrical system Have the vehicle
serviced as soon as posslbfa^
Up-Shift Light

economy.
