may have lo idle the engine longer. Should the fluid
level be low during this cold ebag-k, you my.sf chock tha
ffuid hot before adding fluid. Checking the fluid hot
will give you e mor« accurate reading of the fluid Eavel.
Checking the Fluid Level

■ Park your vehicle on a level ptace+ Keep tha engine
running.
■ With ihe parking brake applied, place the shift lever
in PARK (P},
• With ycuF foot on Ihe brake pedal, nrove the shift
lever through each gear range, pausing for about
three seconds in each range. Then, position the shift
lever in PARK (P),
• Let
the
engine run at idle (or three minutes or more.
