Fuei Gage
Wh&n the l^njtidn 15 tm, the fuel gage lells yoLi abqhut
how much iuel you have left in your tank.
The gage will first indicate empty before you are out of
fuel, and you should get more fuel as soon as possible.
When the fuel tank is low the Low FueJ message will

Here are some situations you imay experience with your
fuel gage. None of these indicate a problem with Lhe
fuel gage,
• At lhe station, the fuel pump shuts off before
the gage reads full.
• f[ takes a Ultte more or less fuel to fill up lhan lhe
fuel ^ge indicated, Fo/ example, fhe gage may
have indicated lhe tank was half fufl^ but it aolually
took a Nttfe more or Jess than half the tank’s
capacity to fi|J the tank,
• The g^ge goes back to empty when you turn off
the Ignition.

Low Fuef Warning Light
The light next to the fuef gage wiJI come on briefly when
you are starting the engine-
This light comes on when the fuel lank is low on fuel.
To turn it off, add fuel to the fuel tank. See
Fuei on
page 5-5.
