Notice:
Do mage to your vehicle may result from
electrical shorting if jumper cables are ramoved
Incorrectly. To prevent electrical shorting, take care
that the cables don't touch each other or any
other metal. The repairs wouldn't be covered by
your warranty.
Jumper Cable Removal
A- Heavy, Unpainted Metal Engine Part or Remote
Negative (-) Terminal
B- tjQod Battery or Remote Positive
{■+)
and Remote
Negative [-) Terminals
C. Dead Battery or Remote Positive [+) Terminal
To
discDongct the jumper cables (rom both vehicles do
the following:
1. Disconnect ihe black negative [-} cable fronn the
vehicle lhat had Ihe bad battery.
2. Disconnect
|he
hJgcl( negative {-} cable from the
vehKie with the good battery.
3. Disconnect
Ihe
red positive {+} cabte from the
vehicle with the
good battery,
d. Disconnect the red positive
{+)
csbfe from the other
vehicle.
S, Relurn the positive (-i-) remote terminal cover to Its
original posHion.
