Scheduled Maintenance
Change engine oil and filter as indicated by the GM
on Lite System™ (or every 1Й months, whichever
occurs flratjn Reset the system.
Your vehicle has a computer system lhat lets you know
when lo change tha engine oil and filter. This is
based an engine revolutioris and engine temperalurie,
and not on mileage. Basad on driving conditions,
the mileage at which an oit change will be indicated can
vary considerably. For the oil life system lo work
ргарег^ун you must reset the system every time the oii is
changed.
When the system has calculated that oil life has been
diminished, It will Indicate that an oH change is
necessary. A CHANGE ENGINE OIL message will
come on. Change youf oil as soon аз possible within
the next two times you slop for fuel. It is possible lhat, if
you are driving under tha best conditions, the oil life
system may not indicate that an oil change is necessary
for over a year. However, your engine oil and filter
must be changed at least once a year and at this lime
Ihe system must be reset. It is also important lo
