Finding a PTY Station (RDS, XM'«
and DAB)
To setect and fincf a cfesrr^d PTV perform the following:
1* Press the P-TYPE button. Р-ТУРЕ and ihe Last
selected PTY will be displayed an the screen.
2. Select a caiegory by turning (tie P-TYPE tinob,
3. Once the desired category is displayed^ press eilher
SEEK arrow tq select Ihe categoiy and take you lo
the category's First station.
4. If you want to go (c another station within tha!
category and the category is di&pieyed, prass
either SEEK arrow once.
If the category is not
displayed^ press either SEEK arrow twice to display
the caiegory and then lo go to another station.
5. If PTV times out and is no longer on the display, go
back lo Step T.
If bi?th P’TVPE amt TRAP are on, the radio will search
for stations with the selected PTY gnd (raffic
announcements.
To use the PTY interrupt feature, press and hoid the
P'TYPE button until you hear a beep on the PTY
you want to interrupt with. When selected, an astenck
will appear beside that PTV on Ihe display. You
may select muttiple interrupts il desired. When you are
(isteninp to a compact disc, the fast setected RDS
staiicin will Interrupt play If that selected program type
fonnat Is broadcast.
SCAN: You can also scan Uirough the stations wfthin a
category by perfomning tfie fdlowing=
1. Press the P-TYPE button. Р-ТУРЁ and ihe Iasi
selected PTY will' be dispiayed on the screen.
2. Select a category by turning the P-TYPE knob.
3, Once Ihe desired category is displayed, press and
hotd etthgr SCAM arrow, and the radio will begin
scanning within your chosen category*
4, Press either SCAN arrow again to atop gt a
particular station.
BAND (Alternate Frequency): Alternale frequency
atlows the radio to switch to e stronger station with the
same program type. Press and hold BAND lor two
seconds to turn alternate friequency on. AF ON
will appear on the display. The radio may switch to
stronger stations. Press and hold BAND again for two
seconds to turn alternate Irequency off. AF OFF
wifi appear on Ihe display. The radio will not switch to
other stationg. When you turn the Ignition off and then on
again, ihe alfemale frequency feature will aulomalically
be lumad on.
This function does nol apply for Of DAB.
