4. Calibrate tha compass as described below.
Compass Calibration
The compass may need calibration if one of the
following occurs*
* After approximately five seconds, the display does
nol show a compass heading {M for Norths for
example}, there may be a strong magnetic (ield
Interfering wilh the compass. Such interference may
be caused by a magnetic antenna mount, magnelrc
noie pad holder or a similar magnetic iiem.
* The compass does not display the correct heading
and Ihe compass zone variance is set correctly.
In order to calibrate. CAL must be displayed in the
mirror Compass 'Windows. If CAL is not displayed, push
the orVoff button tor approxEmately t2 seconds or
until CAL IS displayed.
The compass can be calibrated in one of two ways:
* Drive Ihe vehicie In circFas at 5 mph km/b) or less
until the display reads a direction, or
* drive Ihe vehicle on your everyday routine and after
several turns the compass will become caJibrated
and will display a dirsetion.
Your vehicle may be equipped with a passenger air bag
indicator, on the mirror glass, [usi above the buttons.
If your vehide has this feature, the mimor Will display the
word ON, or an a if bag symbol in Canada, when the
passangar air hag is engaged. For more information,

Cleaning the Mirror
When cleaning the mjrrpr, use a paper tuwEl or similar
male hai dan^pened with glass cleaner. Do nol spray
gla&s cloaner diraotly cn lha minor as thal may cause
the liquid cleaner lo enter the mirror housing.
