Remember; Anli-lcjck doesn't change the time you need
to get yoyr toot up to the brake pedal or always
decrease stopping distance. If you get too close to tlie
vehicle in fror^l of you, you won't have lime to apply
your brakes it that vehicle suddenly slows or stops
Always leave enough room up ahead to stop^ even
(hough you have anli-lock brakes.
Using Anti-Lock
Don't pump (he brakes. Just hold the brake pedal down
firmly arrd let anti-lock work for you^ You may feel
the brakes vibrate f or you may notice some rtoisB, but
this is normal.
Braking In Emergencies
'iWilh anti-lock, you can steer and brake a! the same
limo. In many emergencies, steering can halp you more
than even the very best braking.
As you brake, your computer keeps receiving updates
on whqel speed and controls braking pressure
accordingly.
