Maintaining Command to Prevent Movement

Use the Set Span and Setpoint activity with a Maintain command in conjunction with other multiple
instances of the activity. The Set Span and Setpoint activity with a Maintain command is not intended for
use as a singular activity within a test design.

Important:

Placing the Set Span and Setpoint activity with a Maintain command in parallel with another
Commands activity using the same channel results in a runtime error. Place the activity as a serial
activity within the test workflow.

1. Add a Set Span and Setpoint activity to the test workflow.

2. Select the Maintain command to prevent movement check box.

3. Select a Channel and a Control Mode.

4. Define the Span and Setpoint values as appropriate to accomplish the objective of your test design.

5. If applicable, select the Allow activity to execute when the test is stopped check box.
