Description
Parameter
Specify an identification of the plane and direction
of a fracture in relation to the product configuration.
Crack Plane
Orientation
Shows the distance between the displacement
measurement points and load points (center of pin
holes).
COD Distance from
Load Line
Shows one half the distance between the
displacement measurement points (COD
COD Half-Gage
Length
attachment edges). It is used by the application for
compliance crack length calculations.
Used for crack length calculations.
Compliance
Coefficient
Shows the estimate of the specimen material’s
initial stiffness below its elastic limits.
Elastic Modulus
Specify the width of the reduced cross-sectional
area on the specimen.
K Calibration
Coefficient
Width is a specimen variable that other variables
may use in a calculation.
Specify the thickness of the reduced
cross-sectional area on the specimen.
Lead Space
Thickness is a specimen variable that other
variables may use in a calculation.
Shows the net thickness of the specimen.
Net Thickness (Bn)
Specify the height of the notch in the specimen.
Notch Height
For C(T) specimens, shows the length of the
specimen’s machined notch measured from the
Notch Length (a0)
center of the loading pin holes to the tip of the
notch.
For SE(B) specimens, shows the length of the
specimen’s machined notched measured from the
notched side to the tip of the notch.
Shows the absolute value of the ratio of transverse
strain to the corresponding axial strain resulting
Poisson’s Ratio
from uniformly distributed axial stress below the
proportional limit of the material.
