Compatible Specimen Geometries in a Domain
All of the specimen geometries in a domain must provide a common subset of variables and functions that
the tests use. When adding a specimen geometry to an existing domain, you must implement similar
variables and functions for the specimen geometry. The calculations for all of the specimen geometries in
a domain may be different, but the definition that the test uses must be the same. For variables, this means
the identifier and dimension must be the same. For functions, it means the function name and the argument
meanings must be the same. A specimen geometry can define additional variables and functions that are
used internally.
Creating Diagnostic Files
Diagnostic Files Overview
The application includes a feature to create a diagnostics file that you can transmit to Technical Support
for analysis. This file can be extremely useful to troubleshoot and correct problems. If required, you can
configure the content of the diagnostics file (likely in collaboration with Technical Support).
Note:
Contact MTS Technical Support to assist you with transmitting the diagnostics file.
A test must be open to create a diagnostics file. You cannot create a diagnostics file while the test is loaded.
You can deselect all or portions of the test for exclusion from the file. The default is to save all of the test
file. The diagnostic file is created with a .tsdiag extension.
