Select the Type of file that matches the format in which you saved your data list: Unicode (UTF-
8) or Unicode.

Check the box Override Duplicates to overwrite any existing values.

From the pull-down list, select the data list you want to populate with the data list.

Click Import Template.

Multi-column data sets provide your customers with the convenience of being able to populate multiple
fields in a variable data product by making a single selection.
For example, uploading a spreadsheet of customer information and selecting “Jane Dough” from
the list will populate the VDP template with all appropriate information associated with Jane Dough,
such as name, address, telephone number, etc.
To create a multi-column data set
1.
Go to Administration | Manage Data Source.
2.
Select the Multi Column radio button.
3.
Click Create Data Source.
4.
On the Create Multi Column Data Source page, type a name for the data set in the Multi Column
Data Source Name field.
The checkboxes in the rows and columns are for selecting rows and columns for deletion.
You can create your data set either (1) online directly on this page in Digital StoreFront by
defining the structure of the data in the column and row fields in the table (
click here if you want
to create your MCD set on this page
) or (2) offline by downloading a template and entering your
data in an application such as Notepad or Microsoft Excel then importing your data (
click here if
you want to create your MCD set using a template
).
