Creating SNMPv3 User Profiles
To create an SNMPv3 user profile
1. In your PuTTY secure shell, create a new user profile:
./usersnmpv3 create

2. Specify the user template to clone from (see the user template names in
Figure 8-10: Specifying user template from which to clone new user
3. Specify the name you would like to assign to the new user profile.
REQUIREMENTS
Make sure you meet the following conditions before beginning this procedure:
• Default user templates currently exist on this Application Server. To verify that they exist,
perform the
list
command. (see
"Miscellaneous User Configuration Tasks"
page 455). The SNMPv3 commissioning procedure has already been performed once for
this Application Server (see
).
• You have logged into your Application Server with a PuTTY secure shell and have
changed directories to iControl’s
snmpd
directory (see
).
