Logging into an Application Server with PuTTY

To log into an Application Server with PuTTY

1. Open the PuTTY application.

The PuTTY Configuration window appears.

Determine if there are default user templates existing on your Application Server using the

list

command (see

"Miscellaneous User Configuration Tasks"

, on page 455).

If the

list

command returns the

userNone

,

userAuthPriv

, and

userAuthNoPriv

template

profiles, then these templates exist on this Application Server.

Create default user templates (see

"Creating Default User Templates"

, on page 444).

Create users, as required (see

page 446

).

4.

Delete default user templates (see

"Deleting a User Profile"

, on page 450).

5.

Modify users, as required (see

page 450

).

REQUIREMENTS

Make sure you meet the following conditions before beginning this procedure:

• You have the PuTTY client application on your client PC. PuTTY is downloadable from the

Useful downloads link on the iControl Startup page.

• Your client PC has connectivity with the Application Server.
