Type text without boundaries

Open the Title Tools panel.
•
To type horizontal text, click the Type tool
.
•
To type vertical text, click the Vertical Type tool
.

In the drawing area, click where you want to begin, and then type the text.
Note: By default, text does not wrap. To make it wrap when it reaches the title-safe margin, choose Title > Word Wrap.
When Word Wrap is deselected, press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS) to begin a new line.

When you finish typing, choose the Selection tool and click outside the text box area.
Wrap text automatically
You can set the titler to wrap text within the title safe area automatically.

Open the Titler Tools panel.

To type horizontal text, click the Area Type tool
.
•
To type vertical text, click the Vertical Area Type tool
.

In the drawing area, drag to create a text box.

Type the text. The text wraps when it reaches the boundaries of the text box.

When you finish typing, choose the Selection tool and click outside the text box.
Note: Resizing the text box created with the Area Type tool or the Vertical Area Type tool resizes only the visible area of
the box; the text remains the same size.
Copy text from other applications
You can copy text from other applications and paste them into the Titler in Premiere Pro.

In the other application, select text and use the Copy command to copy it.

In Premiere Pro, open the Titler, then select Edit > Paste to paste the text into a title.
If the text is copied from another Adobe application, many of the attributes set in that application will be transferred
to the text in the Titler. For more information, see “

Type text along a path

In the Titler, click the Path Type tool
or the Vertical Path Type tool
. Using the path type tools is similar to
drawing with Pen Tool.

In the drawing area, click where you want the text to begin.

Click or drag to create a second point.

Continue clicking until you create the path shape you want.

Type the text. When you type, the text begins along the top or right edge of the path. If necessary, adjust the path
by dragging the object anchor points.
Note: Resizing the text box created in this mode resizes only the visible area; the text remains the same size.

When you finish, choose the Selection tool and click outside the text box.
