Note
With Windows 2000, proceed as follows for password monitoring by
Windows:
1. Run/Execute "secpol.msc".
2. Under "Local Policies/User Rights Assignment", switch on the guide-
line "Act as part of the operating system" for all desired user groups.
3. Restart computer.
Maximum number of incorrect login attempts
If this check box is enabled then a user will be given the status deactiva-
ted as soon as the number of incorrect login attempts defined here has been
exceeded. A user with the status deactivated can no longer start the pro-
gram. The counter for incorrect login attempts is reset to zero for all users
at each new start.

Message by E-mail
If this check box is enabled then an E-mail will be sent to the address defined
under [E-mail] as soon as the defined number of incorrect login attempts
has been exceeded.

This button opens the dialog window Send E-mail(see Chapter 6.2.2.7,
page 1210) for defining the E-mail parameters.
Logout policies
New login only for same user
If this check box is enabled then for manual logout a renewed login is only
possible for the same user. Users with administrator rights can always log
in. If this option is enabled then the subsequent option is automatically ena-
bled and deactivated.
