Static Multicast addresses can be defined on static VLANs only.
You can execute the command before the VLAN is created.
Examples
Example 1 - The following example registers the MAC address to the bridge
table:
console(config)# interface vlan 8
console(config-if)# bridge multicast address 01:00:5e:02:02:03
Example 2 - The following example registers the MAC address and adds ports
statically.
console(config)# interface vlan 8
console(config-if)# bridge multicast address 01:00:5e:02:02:03

bridge multicast forbidden address
Use the bridge multicast forbidden address IInterface (VLAN) Configuration
mode command to forbid adding or removing a specific Multicast address to
or from specific ports. Use the no form of this command to restore the default
configuration.
Syntax
bridge multicast forbidden address {
mac-multicast-address | ipv4-multicast-
address
}
{add | remove} {ethernet interface-list | port-channel port-
channel-list
}
no bridge multicast forbidden address {
mac-multicast-address
}
Parameters
• mac-multicast-address | ipv4-multicast-address—Specifies the group
Multicast address.
•
add—Forbids adding ports to the group.
•
remove—Forbids removing ports from the group.
