User Guidelines
Although the CLI can set any required configuration, there might be a
situation where an SNMP user sets a MIB variable that does not have an
equivalent CLI command. To generate configuration files that support those
situations, the system uses

Example
The following example configures the scalar MIB sysName with the value
TechSupp.
console(config)# snmp-server set sysName sysname TechSupp
snmp trap link-status
Use the snmp trap link-status Interface Configuration mode command to
enable link-status generation of SNMP traps. Use the no form of this
command to disable generation of link-status SNMP traps.
