Function:
The command is for configuring the size of external link database and the
waiting time before the route exits overflow state. The “[no]overflow database external
[
” restores the default value
Parameter: < maxdbsize >
size of external link database, ranging between
0~4294967294 , defaulted at 4294967294
< maxtime >
the seconds the router has to wait before exiting the database overflow,
ranging between 0~65535
Command Mode:
OSPF protocol mode
Example:
Switch#config terminal
Switch(config)#router ospf
Switch(config-router)#overflow database external 5 3

Command:
[no] passive-interface
Function:
Configure that the hello group not sent on specific interfaces. The “[no]
passive-interface
“ command cancels this function
Parameter: <ifname>
is the specific name of interface
IP address of the interface, shown in dotted decimal notation
Default:
Not configured
Command Mode:
OSPF protocol mode
Example:

is the metric value type of the introduced external route, which
can be 1 or 2, and it is 2 by default
