2.10 Web Management
2.10.1 Switch Basic Configuration
Users should click “Switch basic configuration” table and configure the switch’s clock,
prompts of command-line interface, timeout of quitting Admin mode, etc.
2.10.1.1 Basic Configuration
Users should click “Switch basic configuration” and “BasicConfig” to configure the
switch’s clock, prompts of command-line interface and the mapping address relationship
with the host.
Basic clock configuration -configure “date and clock” of the system.
Users should configure HH:MM:SS as 23:0:0 and YY.MM.DD as 2002/08/01. The
complete configuration by clicking on the “Apply” button.
z Basic host configuration -configures the mapping relationship between the switch
and the IP address.
Example: configure the Hostname as “London” and IP address as 200.121.1.1 and then
click on the “Apply” button. This configuration will be applied to the switch.
Users should click “Switch basic configuration” and “Configure exec timeout” to configure
the timeout of quitting Admin mode.
2.10.1.2 Configure Exec Timeout
Example of configuring the timeout as 6 minutes and then click on the “Apply” button to
complete the timeout of quitting Admin mode.
