5.1.3.8 switchport trunk allowed vlan

Command: switchport trunk allowed vlan {<vlan-list>|all}

no switchport trunk allowed vlan

Function:

Set trunk port to allow VLAN traffic; the “no switchport trunk allowed vlan

command restores the default setting.

Parameter: <vlan-list>

is the list of VLANs allowed to pass through in the specified

Trunk port; keyword “all” indicate allow all VLAN traffic on the Trunk port.

Command mode:

Interface Mode

Default:

Trunk port allows all VLAN traffic by default.

Usage Guide:

The user can use this command to set the VLAN traffic allowed to pass

though the trunk port; traffic of VLANs not included are prohibited.

Example:

Set Trunk port to allow traffic of VLAN1, 3, 5-20.

Switch(Config)#interface ethernet 1/5

Switch(Config-ethernet1/5)#switchport mode trunk

Switch(Config-ethernet1/5)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 1;3;5-20

5.1.3.9 switchport trunk native vlan

Command: switchport trunk native vlan <vlan-id>

no switchport trunk native vlan

Function:

Set the PVID for Trunk port; the “no switchport trunk native vlan” command

restores the default setting.

Parameter: <vlan-id>

is the PVID for Trunk port.

Command mode:

Interface Mode

Default:

The default PVID of Trunk port is 1.

Usage Guide:

PVID concept is defined in 802.1Q. PVID in Trunk port is used to tag

untagged frames. When a untagged frame enters a Trunk port, the port will tag the

untagged frame with the native PVID set with this commands for VLAN forwarding.

Example:

Set the native VLAN for a Trunk port to 100.

Switch(Config)#interface ethernet 1/5
