Cable length and cross−sectional area

Please note
In the following section it is assumed that the reader is
familiar with the information in the chapter 3 Installation"
in this manual. This section is directed exclusively at
personnel trained in electrotechnology.

A load−dependent drop in voltage occurs on all three supply
cables of the SPC200. This can lead to the voltage at pin 1
(24ĂL) or pin 2 (24 V) of the operating voltage connection (X2)
lying outside the permitted tolerance.

Recommendation:

Avoid long distances between the power unit and the
SPC200.

·

Ascertain the most suitable cross−sectional area and the
maximum cable length for the operating voltage cable in
accordance with the following formula.

Please note
The following formula assumes that the cross−sectional
areas of the operating voltage supply (pins 1, 2 and 3) are
the same.
