Method of operation

The following diagram shows the basic layout of a positionĆ
ing control circuit with the SPC200 Smart Positioning ConĆ
troller.

The axis interface, valve, drive and measuring system are
connected with each other to form a closed−loop control cirĆ
cuit. In this closed−loop control circuit, the position of the
drive represents the control variable. This control circuit is
therefore also called positioning control.

The measuring system registers continuously the position of
the drive and passes this on to the axis interface in the form
of an electric signal.
