5.1 General notes on operation
Operating modes of the SPC200
Start/Stop In the operating mode Start/Stop the SPC200 can control
positioning tasks independently. Any necessary synchronizĆ
ation with externally controlled processes is supported by
the Programmed Stop" (command M00).
Record Select The Record Select operating mode supports the close
coupling of the SPC200 with a higher−order PLC/IPC. If conĆ
trolled by an I/O module, 32 NC records of the fixed starting
programs can be accessed via 5 digital inputs. In this operĆ
ating mode, only positioning commands, positioning condiĆ
tions and commands for setting the positioning quality class
are supported (see chapter 5.3).
In both operating modes the SPC200 can process two paralĆ
lel−running programs. Coordinated and autonomous operĆ
ation of two work stations can therefore be achieved with one
SPC200.
Setting the operating
mode Set the desired operating mode as well as the desired startĆ
ing program in the menu CONFIG SYSTEM on the control
panel.
Controller enable Note that in the following cases a rising signal edge is reĆ
quired at the ENABLE input for controller enable.
ć during the first commissioning after the project−specific
parameters have been set
ć after a Data Reset and resetting of the project−specific
parameters
ć when the movement test has been carried out.
